Coteau Lodge is located in the heart of the prairie pothole country
in central North Dakota. This area is famous for its duck production as
well as excellent local Canada goose populations. Our area is also in
the middle of the central flyway so we see excellent numbers of ducks
including mallards, pintail, gadwall, redheads, bluebills, widgeon,
geese including all sizes of Canadians, snows and blues plus sandhill
crane and tundra swan on their way south. We are also near the Missouri
river which is home to thousands of Canada geese through the winter.
Excellent hunting for pheasant, sharptail grouse and Hungarian
partridge can also be had in our area.
We
are now offering a limited number of white tail bow hunts. We have
stands pre set or bring your own if you prefer. There is a booming
population of deer in this area. Many 140-150 class bucks were taken in
2007. Rifle hunts are also
available in 2008.
The
Frantz family is committed to giving you the best hunting value and
providing you with the hunt you desire. We can custom tailor a hunt to
your needs from lodging only at one of our houses to fully guided hunt
at the lodge. Tim and Cody are licensed guides with many years of
experience hunting this area.
We
have over 20,000 acres of private land to hunt on and thousands of acres
on day leases. We have been very successful at keeping hunters busy and
would be happy to supply you with references.
